In short: MeawDoku is a single-player puzzle game. Your puzzle progress, settings, coins and
collectibles are stored only on your own device. We don't operate our own servers or accounts. The only data
that leaves your device goes to the three Google services the app uses to run ads, process purchases, and
power leaderboards — each described below with a link to its own privacy policy.
01Who we are
MeawDoku is a cat-themed Sudoku puzzle game developed and published by
Hellal Merwan ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what
information the MeawDoku Android app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. It applies to the
app distributed on Google Play under the package name com.hellaltech.meawdoku.
02Information we collect
MeawDoku does not ask you to register, and never collects your name, email address, or phone number directly.
Information collected automatically
App activity & diagnostics — gameplay events (e.g. level started/completed, purchase attempted, ad watched), coarse device/app info (device model, OS version, app version, language, approximate location derived from IP), and crash/performance data, collected via Firebase Analytics.
Advertising identifiers — your Android advertising ID and ad interaction data (impressions, clicks), collected via Google AdMob, used to serve and measure ads and, where you've consented, personalize them.
Play Games player data — if you're signed in to Google Play Games on your device, your Play Games player ID and display name, plus the scores and achievement progress MeawDoku submits on your behalf, collected via Google Play Games Services.
Purchase information — if you buy anything in the Shop, Google Play Billing processes the transaction and shares the purchased product ID and purchase token with the app so it can grant your reward. We never see or store your payment card details — Google Play handles payment directly.
Information you provide
MeawDoku has no text fields for personal information. The only player-chosen content is a profile display name/avatar, stored locally on your device (see "What stays on your device" below).
03Third-party services
MeawDoku uses the following Google services. Each operates under its own privacy policy, linked below, which governs how that specific service handles data:
If you're in the European Economic Area or UK, MeawDoku shows a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before loading ads, so you can choose personalized or non-personalized ads, or object to specific data uses, before any ad-related data is collected.
04What stays on your device
The large majority of MeawDoku's data never leaves your device. It's stored locally using Android's app storage and is deleted automatically when you uninstall the app:
Puzzle progress, completed levels, and stars earned
Coins, hints, chests, and other in-game currencies
Daily streaks, Cat Pass tier progress, Cat's Errands/Cat Cup progress
Collectible cats, achievements/badges, and profile name/avatar
To operate core features: process purchases, submit leaderboard scores, and serve ads.
To understand how players use MeawDoku (which levels are too hard, where players drop off, which offers convert) so we can improve the game.
To diagnose crashes and performance issues.
To measure and prevent ad fraud.
We do not use any of this information to build a profile of you outside of MeawDoku, and we do not sell your information.
06Sharing & disclosure
We share information only with the third-party services listed in Section 3, each acting under its own privacy policy, and only as needed to provide the feature it powers (serving an ad, processing a purchase, posting a score). We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MeawDoku, our players, or the public.
07Your choices
Ad personalization — change your choice anytime from Android Settings › Google › Ads, or (where shown) via the in-app "Privacy options" link in MeawDoku's Settings screen.
Play Games sign-in — managing your Google Play Games participation, including deleting your Play Games activity, is done through your Google Account at myaccount.google.com.
Local data — uninstalling MeawDoku, or clearing its storage from Android Settings › Apps, permanently deletes everything listed in Section 4 from your device.
Account & data deletion request — since MeawDoku has no account system of its own, there's no separate "delete my account" request to make with us; deleting the app deletes your local data, and your Google Account settings control the Google-service data described above. If you'd still like to contact us about your data, see Section 12.
08Children's privacy
MeawDoku is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us (Section 12) and we will take steps to delete it.
09Data retention
Local data (Section 4) persists until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Data held by the third-party services in Section 3 is retained according to each service's own retention policy; Firebase Analytics data, for example, is retained for the period configured in our Firebase project (industry-standard default: 14 months).
10Security
We rely on the security practices of the Android platform and the Google services listed in Section 3 to protect information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we don't operate any servers of our own that would introduce an additional point of risk beyond those services.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MeawDoku changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll post a notice in the app's Release Notes on Google Play.
